The Hairdressers' Charity hosts Hair Stage at Hair UK

The Hairdressers' Charity hosted a fundraising and awareness stage during this year's Hair UK show, held on Sunday 19th and Monday 20th May at the NEC, Birmingham.

With thousands of hair and beauty professionals in attendance, it was the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the charity, whilst also raising over £2000 to help hairdressers in need.

The impressive Hair Stage was organised by Jackie Holian from Dynamic Influence and Ross Miller from Medusa Training. The line-up over the two days included appearances from Ben Brown Education, G&E McIntyres, Lewis Moore Salons, Wella Generation NOW Team, Zen Hair, McDonald Waterfall Education, Karoliina Saunders, Scissorhands, Twisted Scissors, Barber Barber, Sebastian Cult Team and Kings & Queens Hairdressing.

Each guest artist created inspiring, educational cuts and hairstyling whilst Ross Miller compered and discussed the charity messages to an enthralled audience.

The Hairdressers' Charity has been established to support hairdressers and ex-hairdressers who have been affected by illness, disability, bereavement or financial hardship. With over 300 applicants requesting help each year, the charity relies on the support of the hairdressing industry to provide help for those who need it most.

“We can't thank the Hair UK organisers enough for the opportunity to raise the charity's awareness to hair and beauty professionals,” explains The Hairdressers' Charity co-president, Philip Sharp.

“The two-day event, alongside the face-to-face communication the charity had with visitors coming to both the Hair Stage and stand area, enabled us to reach a new audience and share the great work the charity undertakes. A huge thank you to the hair teams for getting involved and presenting stunning hair over the two days. They helped to create a great buzz about the charity, which is amazing,” concludes The Hairdressers' Charity co-president, Samantha Grocutt.
