Showcase your skills in new student nail and makeup competitions
Two national student competitions will launch as part of Look Good Live 2022, giving you the chance to become a champion in your field.
The National Student Nail Competition will be hosted by Denise Wright, an internationally recognised trainer and award-winning nail technician.
COMPETITORS WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR TALENT IN THREE LIVE CATEGORIES AND TWO PRE-ENTRY COMPETITIONS:
- Student Salon Tip and Overlay Challenge
- Student Permanent Polish
- Student Boxed Artist Freestyle 3 Nails (no theme)
- Student-Designer Boxed Nail Art - Mixed Media (pre-entry competition, theme to be confirmed)
- Student Snapshot Photo Challenge (pre-entry competition)
In addition, the Warpaint Extra National Student Makeup Competition will be led by the Warpaint Extra team and judged by leading experts from the makeup industry.
AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED IN FIVE CATEGORIES:
- Character - Tim Burton Movies
- Creative - 90s Nostalgia
- Bodypainting - The 12 Days of Christmas
- Bridal - Winter Bride
- Fashion - Colour Blocks
The contests, which are open to nail and beauty students, provide an excellent opportunity to gain recognition for your abilities and receive feedback from seasoned professionals. Furthermore, it is an ideal platform for gaining confidence, improving techniques, learning new tricks, demonstrating creativity, and networking with other competitors.
Both competitions will be held on Friday 25th November at the Coventry Building Society Arena, with winners announced the same day at an awards presentation during the show.
