Popular industry podcast returns for a second season
The Power of Makeup is back to spark new discussions about beauty and the creative industry.
The Power Of Makeup, the podcast inspired by the 2021 lockdown, is back for its second season.
The twelve-episode series, produced in collaboration with Timely Business Management Software and Lan Nguyen-Grealis, tells the story of embracing community and education in the creative industry.
Hosted by Lan Nguyen-Grealis, world-renowned make-up artist and author of two bestselling books, the season will feature interviews with a specially selected roster of industry powerhouses about their roles, talents, and what the power of make-up means to them.
The star-studded lineup includes BBC1 Glow Up series two runner-up and social media sensation James Mac, CEO of the British Beauty Council, and industry aficionado Millie Kendal, as well as journalist, editor, and marketing lecturer, Hannah Kane.
Tamara Reid, Timely's Global Head of Partnerships, commented on the new series: “Lan is one of the most inspirational — and impactful — makeup artists in the world, whose skills have been witnessed by billions of people. It's an important time to tell the story about our industry and its people right now, as we undergo a profound transformation toward what we hope the future looks like, while still dealing with the challenges of the past two years. We hope listeners will come away with a better understanding of what shapes the industry's most sought-after creatives, and how they're shaping ours as a company.”
The first two episodes of The Power of Makeup, about diversity, equality, inclusion, and belonging, are now available, with new episodes released weekly.
