NAILS: Girl Power Step by Step
To celebrate International Women's Day, Salon System nail expert Julie-Anne Larivière has created a ‘Girl Power' step by step using products from GELLUX...
File the nails to shape, push the cuticles back with the GELLUX Cuticle Handy Manicure Tool and gently buff the surface of the nails with a white block.
Thoroughly wipe nails with GELLUX Nail + File Cleansing Spray and a lint free pad. When the nails are dry, apply GELLUX Fast Bond and let dry for 30 seconds. Then, apply GELLUX Cover Pink Base Coat, cure for 30 seconds.
Start by applying two layers of the following colours from index to pinky: GELLUX Choco-Latte, GELLUX Naturally Bronzed, GELLUX Bare Necessities and GELLUX Porcelain Doll. Cure for 30 seconds in between layers.
Then, using a thin nail art brush, create a fist shape on each nail using opposite colours, cure for 30 seconds.
With a very fine liner brush dipped in GELLUX Black Onyx, paint the details on the hands, cure for 60 seconds.
Using the same fine liner, apply small dots of the colour of your choice to the tip of each finger. I used GELLUX Pink Punch. Cure for 30 seconds.
Now, using a medium liner/striper brush dipped in GELLUX Purely White, paint the letters “Gi” on the index, “rl” on the middle finger, “Pow” on the ring finger and “er” on the pinky using a calligraphy style of writing. Cure for 60 seconds.
Finally, apply GELLUX Mirror Glaze Top Coat and cure again. Wipe nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe and GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil to finish your Girl Power nails.
