NAILS: Christmas Hat step by step
Salon System nail expert Caroline Roberts, owner of Nail Fairy has created these fabulous Christmas Hat nails using GELLUX shades.
Here, she explains how to recreate this for your clients...
Step One
Prep the nails and push back the cuticles. Shape and buff the natural nail bed with a grey and yellow buffer. Dust and wipe the nails with GELLUX Prep and Wipe. Apply a thin layer of GELLUX Fast Bond.
Apply two thin layers of GELLUX Builder Gel Rose Pink, curing each layer for 60 seconds. Wipe off any sticky excess with GELLUX Prep & Wipe. Lightly buff nails for a matte look, then use a nail brush to remove any dust.
Step Two
Apply GELLUX Guess Who to the tip of the nails creating a French tip and then dragging the colour up to create a tail on the one side using a thin liner art brush. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step Three
Apply GELLUX Purely White with a thin liner brush over the joining end of the white then feathering the product out from the edges to create that furry effect. Next, using a dotting tool, apply a dot of the GELLUX Purely White on the top of the hat's tail and feather the edge to create the pom-pom effect. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step Four
For that glossy finish, use GELLUX Shiny Top Coat and set for 60 seconds. Wipe the sticky residue with GELLUX Prep + Wipe before applying cuticle oil to finish.
