Nail professionals gathered at Scratch Magazine's Summer Party to hear the winners of the Scratch Stars Awards 2017 announced.
Now in their sixth year, the awards recognise outstanding talent and achievement within the professional nail industry including nail technicians, bloggers and salons from across the UK.
The summer party and awards evening took place at Covent Garden's Tropicana Beach Club and was hosted by Blue singer and Hollyoaks actor, Duncan James with a live performance from X Factor finalist, Amelia Lily.
Awards on the night included ‘Services to the Nail Industry sponsored by Sweet Squared' which went to Sue Davies of Gorgeous Emporium for her continued advice, work in raising standards and development of competitions. This year's ‘Shooting Star Award' was picked up by session nail artist, Stephanie Staunton for her concept and delivery of the ‘Nailing Mental Health' initiative.
Helena Biggs, Scratch Magazine Editor said “We would like to thank all of the finalists for entering and getting stuck in with such determination and passion, and congratulations to all the winners – Scratch magazine is incredibly proud to have you represent the nail industry!”
