The Great British Barbering Academy are extremely proud to announce three new educators joining their already strong alliance of barber trainers.
2018 sees the welcome of Elvis Gjokaj. Elvis has been in the trade for 20 years, owning his own barbershop in Sussex and is a master of his trade, winning last year's Britain's Best Shave competition live in a boxing ring at the Birmingham NEC.
When asked how he felt about joining the GBBA team, Elvis said “This is a complete honour, I love these guys and I cannot wait to help people polish up their skills.” Elvis will cover the London area.
Allan “Stoney” Stone also joins the talented team this year. Stoney is a well-known barber in the UK, especially in his native North East. Allan has been teaching for 10 years in further education colleges and offers bespoke training courses. Allan also owns his own barbershop and has been in the trade for over 20 years.
Allan said, “This is the next step in my career, I have known Mike Taylor and Gareth Clark for a long time and it is great to be working with these guys and the GBBA team, making sure I deliver quality training in the North East of England and Scotland.”
Last but not least, The GBBA welcomes Husso Cetin, of Brush barbershop Glasgow. This master barber was the missing piece for the GBBA team. The GBBA wanted a master barber to take care of Scotland and Husso was highly recommended.
Following a great year with the opening of his shop and a story in national industry magazine, Barber Evo, Husso said “This is massive for me! I love working in the barbershop and training my peers, but this is the time to let the rest of Scotland benefit from my skills.” Husso has a massive 20 years in the industry and is an award-winning barber.
The GBBA are the biggest team of barbering educators over the UK that deliver over a hundred courses across the world and Salon Services stores, every year. With their industry knowledge, combined decades in the industry and span of the UK, they really are the logical choice when it comes to barber education.
