Spa hotels announce festive beauty donation drive

A group of luxury spa hotels is launching its first festive ‘Beauty Bank' collection this Christmas.

Select spas at hotels across independent hotel management firm RBH's portfolio will be collecting donations of new and unopened beauty products to be gifted to their local foodbanks in time for Christmas.

Ashford International Hotel, Belton Woods, The Cheltenham Chase Hotel, Crowne Plaza Reading, DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge Belfry, DoubleTree by Hilton Forest Pines Spa and Golf Resort, Nottingham Belfry, Oulton Hall, Stratford Manor and Telford Hotel and Golf Resort will each be operating a drop-off point for staff and guests as the Christmas season gets underway.

Dave Heap, Head of Leisure and Spa at RBH, comments: “Our Park Royal spa hotel carried out its first ever Beauty Bank donation in aid of National Spa Week this year and, following its success, we realised there was so much more we could be doing as spa hotels for our foodbanks, especially over the festive season.

“That's why we decided to launch our first ever group ‘Beauty Bank' initiative for Christmas, which has been eagerly adopted by a number of our spa hotels. We're now calling for staff and customers to drop off donations of beauty essentials like shampoo and deodorant – even one item would help make a difference this season of good will.

David adds: “Christmas time can be especially difficult for those facing financial hardship and foodbanks support so many people and families who are in real crisis and might otherwise go without essential products that we often take for granted."

Donations of beauty products will not be accepted if the packaging is damaged, seals are broken or expiry dates have lapsed.

More information about each drop-off point can can be found by contacting each participating property directly.
