Scottish talent celebrated at industry awards

The winners of the Scottish Hair, Beauty and Barbering Awards (SHABA) were announced this month in a glittering ceremony held at the Hilton Glasgow.
Over 700 people attended this much-anticipated event, which was hosted by Wahl's Simon Shaw and DJ and broadcaster Josie Smith.

As Scotland's largest industry-endorsed awards, the SHABAs celebrate the creative talents of salons and professionals across the region and honor those who excel in their fields. There are 31 titles covering a variety of categories, including hair, beauty, aesthetics, barbering, and makeup artistry, as well as brands and education.

Joanne Reid, the event organiser, commented: “The annual event attracted over 1,500 entries and were of the highest standard to date – each year, we strive to improve on the previous one and this year was no exception”.

The shortlisted finalists were judged by a panel of leading industry peers including, Zachary Falb, Katherine Jackson, Adam Sloan, Simon Shaw, and Suzie McGill.

Sponsors included Treatwell, OSMO, Novalash, Wahl, Cosmedicare, CSS Services, Hair & Beauty World, and the British Hairdressing Federation.

Entries for next year's awards open on February 23 at scotishhairandbeautyawards.com
