Scottish spa introduces water-based therapies
A Scottish spa is inviting guests to indulge in a selection of water and marine-based treatments.
Kohler Waters Spa at the Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, is offering thalassotherapy, a deeply therapeutic wellness approach which incorporates the use of seaweed, mud, algae and water to provide a range of health benefits, from relieving muscle aches to improving sleep.
Treatments include an organic seaweed leaf wrap, organic seaweed body buff and an overflowing soak bath, all of which aid in detoxifying, firming and softening the skin. Plus, guests can make use of the rest of the spa's water-based facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool, ice fountain, steam room and Finnish sauna, which have been proven to boost circulation, ease joints and release tension.
