Saks raises £150k for The Eve Appeal
Salon group Saks Hair & Beauty UK has raised £150,000 for UK charity The Eve Appeal, which raises awareness and funds research into the five gynaecological cancers.
Since 2015, Saks teams have been working their way towards the group's £250,000 target in a variety of ways, from skydiving, zip wiring, baking, blow-drying, massaging, cycling, walking, raffling, running and nail painting.
In May, the UK-wide hair and beauty salon group joined an array of high-profile Eve ambassadors, including Karen Hobbs, Caroline Hirons and Cherry Healey to support the charity's #GETLIPPY campaign on social media, encouraging everyone to speak up and out about the signs and symptoms of female cancers.
Commenting on Saks' efforts, Chief Executive of The Eve Appeal, Athena Lamnisos, says, “We've reached an incredible milestone passing the £150k mark and we are so thrilled to have Saks as our brilliant charity partner. The enthusiasm, commitment and support that everyone has given to prevent women's cancers with life-saving research makes such a difference.”
