REN opens sustainable pop up
REN Clean Skincare is showcasing its values this month with a sustainable pop up boutique in Bicester Village.
The pop up, which will be in place until Friday October 18th, has been built using 100% recycled materials. All timber used to construct the shop has been collected from various reclamation yards and comes from the likes of demolished bingo halls and old paper mills.
Inside, the counter and display units have been created using 100% recycled black plastic. The brand says it has chosen to give this type of plastic a new life as it is the hardest type to repurpose. A used art crate doubles as the payment counter, while the text on walls and units has been stencilled on using scrap vinyl from an out cutting machine. Meanwhile, all steelwork has been salvaged from other builds.
The brand is working towards a waste-free future, using 100% recyclable packaging, refillable solutions and bottles with reclaimed ocean plastic, with its ultimate goal to produce zero waste by 2021.
