Podcast calls to invest in start-ups
Award-winning British content company Somethin' Else is casting for London start-up businesses to feature on a new podcast series, in which entrepreneur and financier, Professor Stefan Allesch-Taylor CBE will invest up to £250,000 in one business.
The Investor: London is the first of a planned series of international podcasts that showcase real people competing to take their businesses to the next level. Over 12 episodes, listeners will follow three entrepreneurs as they fight to scale-up their businesses and compete to secure the £250,000 investment, with a focus on the difficult, intense and emotional time in the life cycle of building a business.
Professor Stefan Allesch-Taylor CBE, pictured, says he is looking for businesses that have a clear plan and understand the resource required to get to their next stage. “In any sector, I'm looking for people who are fun to work with and, as always, humility and a sense of humour will also be useful too,” he adds.
Steve Ackerman, managing director at Somethin' Else, says, “This is an exciting first for podcasting. Not only a gripping show about business but one that will offer a life-changing investment at the end of the season.”
Small businesses in London across any sector that have been trading for at least two years, are ready to scale-up and in need of investment funds to do so are eligible to apply and can do so here.
