Nationwide massage event set to return
National Massage Day and Pro-Touch Awareness Month are set to return this October.
The news follows the success of last year's events, in which over 1,100 therapists and members of the public across the UK celebrated by ‘paying it forward', raising money for good causes and spending hundreds of hours providing a range of hands-on therapies and treatments for free.
This year, The Therapist Business Club will serve as the new sponsors and coordinators for the events, and are calling on all spa, wellness and holistic professionals to provide general feedback and ideas, as well as inviting them to collaborate with radio stations, membership bodies, MPs and colleges that wish to champion the power of touch and connection in modern society.
“The enthusiasm, cooperation and the desperate need for such an event has simply blown me away,” says Lizzie Badger, events coordinator. “Organisations and therapists that would normally compete in the same marketplace have dropped any barriers and jumped straight in. It's been fantastic using business as a force for good, which is exactly what it should be. I can't wait to see what 2019 brings!”
