Best of organic beauty and wellbeing honoured

Several organic beauty and wellbeing brands have been honoured at the BOOM (Best of Organic Market) Awards 2021.
The awards, run by UK organic certifier Soil Association Certification in partnership with the online retailer, Ocado, celebrated beauty and wellbeing brands deemed the best in the category after a judging panel, made up of industry experts, assessed their commitment to organic, design, and innovation across their product range and how they communicate the benefits of organic to customers.
Tabitha James Kraan scooped up the Best of Organic Hair Care Brands, Neal's Yard Remedies took home Best of Organic Skin Care Brands, Green People Organic Babies won Best of Organic Pregnancy & Baby Brands, with Natracare winning Best of Organic Health & Personal Care Brands.
Other notable wins include UpCircle Beauty for Best of Organic Innovations and Skär Organics for Best of Organic Home Brands.
Commenting on their award, Amy Spanswick, Communications Manager, Neal's Yard Remedies, says: “We are thrilled to hear the news of our win in the BOOM awards for best organic skincare. Having received our golden seal of approval from the Soil Association in 1991, these awards are a wonderful endorsement for the passion our entire team has for transforming lives through certified organic health and beauty."
The triumph of these brands comes at a time when the organic market is booming. According to the Soil Association's recent Organic Beauty and Wellbeing Market Report, sales of certified organic and natural products during 2020 grew by +13%, the 10th year of consecutive growth.
Soil Association Certification Business Development Manager Clare McDermott, adds: “The return of the BOOM awards and the introduction of the new Beauty and Wellbeing category in 2021 has landed at a time when the organic beauty and wellbeing market is simply booming. The public is continuing to seek assurances around their buying decisions, and we know organic provides that in the form of transparency, integrity, and quality from farm through to face. The message that organic works with nature and not against it is also cutting through, with consumers wanting to make decisions which are good for nature and the planet."
The celebration of organic beauty and wellbeing is set to continue into September as the annual Organic Beauty and Wellbeing week campaign will run from the 6th to 12th, with retailers, brands, and uniting behind the message that ‘nature has the answer and the answer is certified organic'.
