Beauty industry to unite for new charity initiative

Taking place this September, a new initiative has been created to unite industry professionals in order to raise vital funds for mental health charity, MIND.

Running from 1st to 15th September, Beautiful Minds will see nail technicians, beauty therapists, hairdressers and make-up artists participate in holding their own fundraising activities across the UK, with monies raised donated to the cause.

The initiative has been organised by Christopher Kitchen, who works for online booking system company, Book In Beautiful. “With over 40 beauty professionals already signed up to participate within 72 hours of the event being announced, it would be an understatement to say I am personally overwhelmed with the response,” he reveals. “The initial response has been amazing and if the awareness around this project gains momentum, we could make a truly beautiful impact and raise an amazing amount of money for such an incredible charity so close to my heart.”

Supported by Kirsty Meakin, Georgie Smedley and the Nail Harmony UK team, the two-week event will culminate in a charity fundraiser at The Royal Hotel, Clacton-on-Sea on Sunday 15th September.

The celebration will include a charity auction, where guests can bid on prizes such as one-to-one bespoke training with Kirsty Meakin; a new Kupa Mani Passport Pro E-file customised by Hazel Dixon with Swarovski crystals; training experiences with Charli Jepson, Hazel Dixon and Katie Barnes, as well as £1000s worth of products and services.
