BCA seminar tackles industry topics
The Beauty Companies Association (BCA), a not-for-profit organisation that represents the interests of companies that supply the professional beauty industry, recently held a business education seminar at the International Institute of Anti-Ageing's headquarters.
Attended by representatives from over 50 beauty supply companies, BCA Chairman, Dean Nathanson gave a welcome speech and introduced Chris Weaver, a solicitor at Payne Hicks Beach. Chris had been invited to speak on the compliance requirements for the imminent General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that govern how companies are permitted to hold and use customer and employee data.
The seminar's other headline speaker, Vivienne Robinson (pictured), a leading EU and Competition lawyer, and gave an insightful talk and useful guidance on what actions companies are permitted to take in regards to internet and retail sales, price fixing and resale price maintenance as well as the sharing of information with competitors.
